Join the facilitator, Hawa Mire in this FREE workshop series as she takes you through 6 sessions and mentors you in amplifying your voices as 1.5 and 2nd gen members of the African diaspora. Hawa Mire will equip you with the tools to intersect activism and art with the help of local artists and activists.
The critical Conversations through the arts project is brought to you with the support of ArtReach and the Toronto Art Council, and in partnership with SpeakOut Poetry and Gashanti Unity. The aim of the project is to strengthen and amplify the voices of young underserved artists and creatives – demographically focusing on African diasporic youth in the Scarborough area.
Art of Interest: Poetry, Performative Storytelling, Spoken Word

I-INSIGHT is a registered non-profit dedicated to working towards a more just and inclusive world by inspiring and empowering young people in the margins to make their voices heard. We particularly aim to empower young diasporic citizens, with plural loyalties and linkages, to innovatively leverage their pluralism as a means for social good. Currently, I-INSIGHT has become a collective of young artists, educators, academics, writers and activists all looking to approach social justice conversations in renewed and dynamic ways.
