Through a mixed method approach (including surveys, interviews, dialogues and other qualitative methods), we are monitoring and assessing levels of participation in partnerships, exploring partnership dynamics, challenges, ethics, and strategies for knowledge exchange, and building on established methods from other disciplines, including from social innovation approaches.
The Partnerships Study is designed to tease out the many ways that partnerships are created and maintained in Canada. Principal Investigator, Dr. Judith Marcuse, and Research Assistant, Nicole Armos, undertook some 50 one-hour interviews conducted with artists and diverse organizations involved in developing and sustaining a variety of partnership arrangements. A series of fictional stories were written to express principle findings from this research. The research findings and stories were put into the “ASC Partnerships Blog Series”.
