"This event will feature a group of Vancouver-based artists who use their art as a tool for social change. The event will explore how artistic work fits within the framework of political activism and social change work, and what role artists play in addressing pressing social issues such as racism and poverty, and promoting civic engagement.

The speakers will share a few words about their work, which will be followed by a dialogue among the speakers and between the speakers and the audience.

The speakers are:

David Diamond – Artistic Director – Theatre For Living
Bob Christie – Vice President at Reel Causes, and filmmaker
Ron Dean Harris, aka Ostwelve – Hip Hop Artist working on youth empowerment and increasing awareness about indigenous art
Jen Sungshine – Language sculptor, dreamer + co-conspirator at Love Intersections

This event is brought to you by the UofMosaic Club SFU in partnership with the SFU School for International Studies."
