We are excited to announce that SFU will be offering a three credit Art for Social Change course taught by Dr. Lynn Fels with Dr. Judith Marcuse in the Fall 2015 semester.
The course will provide participants with a unique introduction to arts for social change while providing hands-on, experiential learning through workshops and dialogue with senior artists from the field. Teaching and learning will be based in dialogue, arts-based facilitation techniques and performative inquiry. Through the course, students will develop an understanding of the range of specific knowledge, skills and practices that are required for the field of arts for social change – no previous experience in the arts is necessary.
